Working Group 2 – Photodetectors

All the calorimeters in WP3 and some of those in WP1 will make use of photodetectors to read out the light produced in the calorimeters. The working group acts as a forum for discussing community’s needs, allowing for the exploitation of synergies in the use of photodetectors, preventing duplication of work and sharing solutions to common problems. While no photodetector development is foreseen in the WG2 of the DRD Calo collaboration, it also constitutes a hub to collect needs for technological development in the photodetectors, to be conveyed to the dedicated DRD4 collaboration.
